The Blurb- Agastya, the Chief Marketing Officer of one of the biggest FMCG companies, is ready for the biggest product launch of his career. But things soon spin out of control. When Agastya almost crushes her spirit by taking things too far, she must avenge herself. She has only 60 minutes to turn his life upside down. Sailesh doesn’t have an academic temperament suited to corporate rivalry and subterfuge. He has no choice but to retaliate when someone crosses the line. In 60 minutes he must destroy his enemy. A lot is at stake: high profile jobs, reputations, relationships, and marriages. Who is going to come out on top and who will falter? The action unfolds in 60 minutes and leaves readers glued to their seats.

The Swift Summary- Agastya the CMO of BCL is seen in midst of organizing a product launch function of a detergent. This product is something for which stakes are high. The BCL team has put in a lot of cash and effort in branding and marketing the new detergent product of their company. Everything seems to be in place when suddenly Agastya is informed about the product launch from their rivals simultaneously at lower prices, which obviously means that BCL is going to suffer a huge loss.

Agastya is shocked to hear this sudden news as it will mean a loss of his status and position and to think of worst even his job. Sailesh, his rival is all set to ruin his career with this sudden launch news from his company.
As this was not enough his love life, his personal life is also at stake with his lady love, Maithili, all set to take revenge from him for some of his deeds. He is left with just 60 minutes to save his family, his status and his power.

Why is Sailesh doing this? Was this planned before, as just another company rival game or is it something bigger than what Agastya is thinking? What is in the mind of Maithili? What is that, that had happened that she will avenge for? Will Agastya be able to solve the complete mess he has fallen into? If yes, will he be able to do that in just 60 minutes?

Read on this action packed novel to get the answers.

My View-   The story revolves around Agastya who is shown to us as a smart, witty Marketing Officer. The story alternately switches between past and present. The best part of the book is readers get the mind-set that everything is happening in just 60 minutes with each chapter titled in terms of time with a time difference of 5 minutes.

Upendra Namburi is a marketing professional and he has perfectly used his job to describe in words. The author has done a splendid job in describing a corporate environment where facts are hidden and conversations are only done through mail, where stakes are always high and job is always at risk, where meetings are only discussions and actual work is only through repo.

The plot becomes more effective with the language used and also the facts and figure quoted. The stock market sequence acts like a garnish over a platter. It adds more colour to the story which talks about the lives of alpha men.
Though the plot is unique and different but somewhere I felt it gets a bit confusing. For instance Maithili's reason for avenge. Also, at climax it becomes a bit dramatic and then the end which leaves the users with certain questions unanswered.

About the AuthorUpendra Namburi is an Indian writer and sales and marketing professional. He is currently writing the Numbers Triumvirate of novels entitled 31, 60 and 8. 31 was long listed for the Tata First Book award.

The Final Verdict- I find this book a 'Coffee-table' relaxing read. It’s perfect for those who like to read about corporate world, its life with facts and figures. I will rate it 3.0/5.
